Despite his amateur credentials, Lesnar began his pro wrestling career looking incredibly green. Embarrassingly bright yellow tights did little to improve this situation. But, by the time he left Ohio Valley Wrestling, it was glaringly obvious that he was a future WWE champ. This commercial tape is subtitled 'Bruiser Brody's Adventures in the Caribbean', but I don't think the word 'adventure' accurately describes getting stabbed to death - not even in sunny Puerto Rico. The highlights are some of Brody's best brawls from Carlos Colon's WWC, along with all five matches from the TV taping where he was brutally murdered. Another poignant look at one of the most influential brawlers ever. This rare tribute, released as a triple commercial tape a year after Brody's murder, is a proverbial goldmine for fans of old-school brawling. Brody pioneered a hard-hitting style and wildman image that continue to influence wrestling to this day, and here's seven hours of the man at his best. All matches are shown in full, interspersed with interviews and music videos. These tapes are converted from original NTSC masters - picture quality is remarkably good for video of this age. Volume 1 draws heavily on Brody's best matches from World Class and the NWA, along with his early days in AJPW. Wonderful stuff.
