Death match tournament from Rob Black's mob. Supreme provides the best and sickest matches of the tournament; Axl Rotten and Homeless Jimmy do not. Outside of the tourney, Chris Candido claims the XPW championship and Shane Douglas arrives in town, shooting on Busch, Bisch, Tully, Sully - everyone ever employed by WCW, basically. Supreme vs Kid Kaos (Quarter-final - bed of barbed wire and nails death match)… Messiah vs 'White Trash' Johnny Webb (Quarter-final - barbed wire ladder and thumbtacks death match)… Axl Rotten vs Homeless Jimmy (Quarter-final - barbed wire bat, bed of glass death match)… JN vs Chronic… Supreme vs Messiah (Semi-final - bed of nails, barbed wire and thumbtacks death match)… John Kronus vs Axl Rotten (Semi-final - bed of barbed wire, lightbulbs and barbed wire bat death match)… Chris Candido vs 'Real Deal' Damien Steele (XPW World Title Change)… Shane Douglas debuts… Supreme vs John Kronus (Final - no rope, barbed wire, bed of everything death match)
Sabu, again out of favour with ECW, and Terry Funk, always game for anything, meet for the first time in XPW. Mexico's Most Wanted (Damian & Halloween) vs The Westsiders… Kid Kaos vs Tracey Smothers… Nosawa vs Pogo the Clown… Kid Kaos vs Steve Rizzano… Homeless Jimmy vs 'White Trash' Johnny Webb vs John Kronus (three-way dance)… Supreme vs Messiah (XPW King of the Death Matches Title - thumbtacks and barbed wire board death match)… Sabu vs Terry Funk (XPW Title Match)
Tellingly subtitled 'My Bloody Valentine' (also a hint at good taste in music), XPW's second death match tournament improved on the first. The highlights are great performances by Messiah and Homeless Jimmy, a very sick bump by Supreme, and - most perverse of all - New Jack trying his hand at scientific wrestling. Dynamite D vs New Jack… Vic Grimes vs Kraq (Quarter-final - bed of barbed wire, bed of nails death match)… Nosawa vs Johnny Webb (Quarter-final - barbed wire ladder, bed of thumbtacks death match)… John Kronus vs Homeless Jimmy (Quarter-final - bed of glass, light tubes death match)… Steve Rizzano vs Pogo the Clown (Quarter-final - barbed wire board, thumbtacks death match)… Kid Kaos vs Juventud Guerrera… Supreme vs 'White Trash' Johnny Webb (Semi-final - barbed wire boards, bed of thumbtacks, bed of nails death match)… Vic Grimes vs Homeless Jimmy (Semi-final - bed of light bulbs, barbed wire and glass death match)… Messiah vs Tool… Vic Grimes vs Supreme (Final - no rope, barbed wire, tables, bed of everything death match)
Atsushi Onita's campaign to run an exploding ring death match in the US, not surprisingly, died on its arse. Cue XPW. Not having to explain suitcases of C4 to airport security men, Rob Black was able to put Vic Grimes and Supreme in America's first bang bang death match. It wasn't on the grand scale of Onita's stadium-sized wars, but it's impressive nonetheless. Scott Snot vs Dangerous D… GQ Money vs Angel… Mexico's Most Wanted (Damian & Halloween) vs John Kronus & Kraq… Steve Rizzono vs Pogo the Clown… Psicosis vs Juventud Guerrera (winner gets paid, loser gets oranges)… Damien Steele vs Konnan… Kaos vs New Jack… 'White Trash' Johnny Webb vs Leroy… 'White Trash' Johnny Webb vs Vampiro vs The Sandman (three-way dance)… Supreme vs Vic Grimes (exploding ring, flourescent light tube death match)
